About Us

Hello! My name is Shannon and I am the proud owner of House Hound and Kittin' Sittin'. 

I have always had a deep passion for animals and a love for their care and well being. While traveling threw lifes journeys I encountered several different veterinary practices and and have worked with many animal rescue foundations. I have personally found that most animals really seem to be traumatized by cage boarding. As most people know, when you board your pet they are usually in cages next to or on top of other pets also being boarded. There are always dogs barking constantly due to stress and being confined in a space that they are unfamiliar with. The animals seemed so unhappy. They were deprived of one-on-one attention and love that they so deeply deserve.This was very, very hard to deal with being a devout animal lover. I thought  that I would change this situation and make a safe haven for these animals to be loved and cared for like they so much deserve.

I started At-home petsitting 8 years ago to aid in the animals happiness and general well-being. It has been a very exciting and truly rewarding expierence for me and my extended family of furry friends thus far.

Our educational background includes extensive training in animal behavior, basic dog training and obedience, biology, administration of oral medications, insulin injections and sub-q fluids.
